Welcome
My name is Marianne Katriina Lennartsson, maiden name Kallioniemi. I was born in a little town by the sea called Vaasa in Finland, "the land of the 1000 lakes". After my education as accountant and tax consultant, I ran my own consultant´s office in Sweden for about a decade. When we moved to Brussels I sold my company, and soon I started my new career as an artist – with a couple of short returns in my old profession (at the Swedish Embassy in Luxemburg and the Swedish Honorary Consulate in Lübeck)
I often hear that my Scandinavian soul is omnipresent in my paintings. I find my inspiration in the nature. That is where I find the peace for quiet meditation. The sea has always fascinated me, and maybe that is why there is almost always water in any form in my paintings: the infinite sea, a peaceful lake, or a purling little stream... And our "brothers and sisters" - the animals - have their given place.
I have had the advantage of experiencing several different cultures, which has enriched my life. I have lived in several European countries, and since February 2013 I live in Lübeck, Germany. I feel like a true "European", Europe is my home.
My clients come from three continents and a dozen of nationalities.
I also make paintings by command. For further information, please contact me.
Interested in seeing my pictures ”live” without any obligations to purchase? Due to Copyright problems, I don´t have any photos of my pictures on the web any more.

From Finland, her native country, Marianne Katriina Kallioniemi conserved
the taste for the wide open spaces. Her oil paintings open to the vast expanses
of the water, the sky and the earth. They tempt the eye while inviting to
dreaming or meditation. The colours lean on the rhythm of the seasons. And the
hours of the day dictate the intensity of the light. From dawn to dusk, the
artist seems to attend the perfect moment where the landscape illuminates, a
bird flying by or the particular moment where the sky and the sea fusion into
one single element.
... Her paintings meet the admiration of a growing audience who appreciate the
exploring composition, the purity of the colours and the serenity emanating from
them.
